After dealing cards to each player, the remaining cards are arranged in a closed deck and put face down in the middle. Players discard cards into the open deck, which is formed by placing the top card from the closed deck face-up.

Every turn, players have to choose a card from the open or closed deck and discard one to the open deck. Players draw and discard cards as the game progresses, carefully creating sets and sequences to make a legitimate statement.
